So, I just thought I would use this page to show off some of the cool stuff I have found online. Some of you may know about these things; some of you may not. Anyways, check it out:
Let’s start off with some YouTube stuffs!
This has always been one of my favorite videos. While no longer a real threat, it never hurts to remember. You will hardly ever see or hear me use the word “evil” very often. I believe it is a subjective term. However, I believe Communism is indeed evil. No good has ever come from its implementation and no good ever will. Period.
Okay, now that I have my bout of political activism out of the way let’s move on to something a little lighter.
Absolutely brilliant! I love it. It takes some real guts to do something like this. It’s always important never to take life too serious and to remember to have fun. I believe these guys accomplished this quite well.
I should warn ahead of time that the following video contains some explicit lyrics! With that said, on to some Lonely Island!
Laughed my butt off. Enough said.
Alright, enough with the YouTube. Here is a list of some of my most frequented haunts. Enter if you dare!!
Fark.com – It a news aggregate site with a bit of a twist. All the headlines are user generated and only make it to the main page if “greenlighted” by an administrator. To be considered they need to be witty, funny, or contain some kind of pun…usually. Quite frankly some days it is hard to figure out exactly what the administrators are looking for. The stories linked are usually funny or on the unusual side of things. The real gem here is the comments section. The Fark community is a rowdy one and the opinions are diverse. Tread lightly because they can smell new blood! By the way, here is their unofficial mascot:
Cracked.com – America’s Only Humor Site Since 1958! I can not tell you how much I love this site using simple words. A picture will have to do:
I have been following Cracked.com for many, many years. Probably since 1958 in fact. We looked at the internet on typewriters back then. It was not pleasant and the download speeds went only as fast as you could type. The forums are particularly fun to engage in. Like with Fark, beware because they do not take kindly to new folks. Hell, they don’t take kindly to old folks either. I have participated on the forums since they belonged to a site called Pointless Waste of Time. That site has now been incorporated in to Cracked. It was a good move.
Pogo.com – Like games? Pogo is where it’s at! Most of the games on here are arcade type games, but they have an addictive quality to them that makes heroin jealous. If you already play on there I go by JWUssery3 so look me up. We can play some Word Whomp together! Well, not really together because it is a single player game, but I can pretend to be interested in what you have to say in the chat window.
The Cheezburger Network – I know what some of you are thinking and I don’t care. They have some funny stuff there. I am particularly fond of the “fail” section. From Failbook to outright fails, there is something for everyone who enjoys watching other people embarrass themselves in to the public sphere. For example:
HSX.com – For those of you who love movies, this site is awesome. Basically they give you some fake cash and you get to “invest” it in movies. I am not sure if there is a point beyond this, but it is fun to see if others share your enthusiasm for movies you are looking forward to in the future. Just to give you an idea of my awesome movie prowess:
As you can see, I am practically a god of predicting movie stocks. If they were a real thing, I would be super rich and have couches made out of stacks of money imported from Italy. Italian cash, that’s right!
Obviously there are other sites I visit, but these are just some of my favorites. I can’t in good conscience list all of my favorites, because some of them have rules specifically disallowing talking about them. Also, because I want people to think I am at least somewhat normal (I am almost positive I blew it with the well-endowed squirrel picture though).
If anyone has any suggestions I should check out, please feel free to link them in the comments section. I am always on the prowl for a new time waster.
